Another of the West Bank developments that has long drawn visitors and new residents from around the world is Teton Pines, a combined golf and tennis resort and residential community, just a short drive from Jackson.
As with many of the communities in the valley, Teton Pines was originally ranch land developed with the idea of respect for and stewardship of the area’s natural resources as a cornerstone of the project’s conception. Wildlife sightings are common within the development’s borders, especially in the resort’s more remote wetland areas. As a testament to Teton Pines’ abundant wildlife—especially waterfowl—Audubon International, in 2003, designated the area a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.”
The centerpiece of the development is the Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay-designed golf course that routinely earns high accolades from numerous sources, including Conde Nast Traveler and Golf Digest. Four of the most highly respected finishing holes in the country command respect from novice and professional players alike.
Teton Pines’ popularity is not reserved for just golfers, however; the resort complex offers tennis and, in the winter, nordic skiing. The Teton Pines Restaurant serves seasonally inspired meals perfect for a special occasion or for escaping the Après-ski crowds at Teton Village during the drive home.
As one of the most sought-after developments in the valley, “The Pines”, as it is locally called, offers residents, guests and tourists alike a chance to enjoy one of our nation’s favorite pastimes in a scenic and natural setting replete with wildlife and Teton views, just a fifteen minute drive from Jackson.
