After moving to the valley in 1978, Tom joined BBC Real Estate in 1986 as a broker and later partner before being recruited to join Jackson Hole Realty in 1996.
He served as a member of the Board of Directors and chaired the Administration Department of what became the largest brokerage firm in the valley before Sotheby’s’ purchase of Jackson Hole Realty in 2003.
It is with Sotheby’s that Tom’s career has truly flourished. His landmark sales include the 1,500-acre BAR BC Ranch, listed at $112 million—the highest price paid for any property in Teton County; the 1,250-acre Spring Gulch Ranch, listed at $75 million; and over $230 million in re-sales at the Bar BC and the Bar B Bar Ranches in Jackson Hole. In 2017 Tom Evans successfully marketed and sold the Four Springs Ranch, a spectacular 265-acre property listed for $53,000,000.
In addition to selling and listing properties, Tom also has extensive experience in the property development arena. His recent projects include the development of a mix of commercial and residential properties in and around a local grocery store complex, as well as the design, building, and sale of speculative homes in some of the valley’s newest neighborhoods.
As a committed member of the Jackson Hole community, Tom has served on numerous nonprofits in and around the valley. His prior service includes time on the Board of Directors for the Greater Teton Area Habitat for Humanity, serving as a member of the Board of the Jackson Hole Land Trust and the Board of Governors for 3 Creek Ranch Resort.

Tom and his wife Andrea have two children, Ashley and Alicia. Ashley graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she obtained a degree in International Business and a minor in Spanish. Ashley married Jackson born and raised, Mike DiPrisco. Mike graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and served on active duty for 12 years as a pilot for the Air Force. Mike and Ashley have two children and are thrilled to call Jackson home again. She has joined her father as part of the Tom Evans Real Estate team.
Alicia graduated from the University of Oregon and attended law school at the University of Wyoming. She is now an associate attorney with the Spence Law Firm in Jackson.
